1. How do I know if my child needs speech or feeding therapy?
If your child has difficulty being understood, is not meeting communication milestones, avoids certain foods, gags frequently, or has trouble chewing or swallowing, a professional evaluation can help determine if therapy is needed.

2. What happens during the initial evaluation?
Our evaluations involve parent interviews, standardized assessments, and play-based observation to understand your child’s strengths and areas of need. After the assessment, we provide a detailed report and recommend next steps.

3. Do you accept insurance?
Speech and Spoon, LLC is a private pay practice, meaning it is NOT in network with any insurance providers at this time.

4. How long will my child need therapy?
Every child is different. Some may benefit from a few months of therapy, while others may need longer-term support. We regularly assess progress and adjust the plan accordingly.

5. Do you offer virtual sessions?
Yes! This option can be discussed. At this time, we offer teletherapy for speech and language services, depending on your child’s age and needs. It’s a convenient, flexible option for many families. It is not available for feeding therapy.

6. What can I do at home to support my child’s progress?
Home practice is an important and essential part of therapy. We provide personalized strategies, exercises, and tools to help you support your child between sessions.
